Terms of Service
The rules for using this website and the apps we publish — written to be read rather than scrolled past.
- Last updated
- 21 August 2026
- Issued by
- Turbo Ventura, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Applies to
- turboventura.com and every app we publish
In short
- Apps are licensed under Apple’s standard EULA unless one ships with its own.
- You are responsible for the files you open in our apps and your right to use them.
- Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
- Our engine is built on LGPL software; sources are available on request.
- Governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, consumer rights unaffected.
A summary, not the agreement. The sections below are what applies.
01 This agreement
These Terms are between you and Turbo Ventura (“we”, “us”), a company established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. They apply when you visit this website and, together with the licence in section 3, when you use an app we publish.
If you do not accept them, do not use the Services. When they change we say so: the date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.
02 Using this website
You may read this site, print it and link to it freely. You may not republish it as your own, scrape it to pass off as another company’s work, or use our name, our mark or an app name in a way that suggests we endorse something we have never seen.
The text, design, code and images here belong to us or to whoever licensed them to us, apart from the trade marks of others: the Apple logo and the App Store name are Apple’s, used as Apple permits.
03 The licence for our apps
Apps downloaded from the App Store are licensed, not sold. Unless an app ships with a licence of its own, that licence is Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which grants you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app on any Apple device you own or control, subject to the App Store Terms of Service.
You may not redistribute an app, remove the notices inside it, or decompile or reverse engineer it except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
04 What you are responsible for
Our apps are tools that operate on files you provide. What those files contain, and whether you are entitled to process, edit, keep or share them, is your responsibility — it is not something we can see or check, because nothing you open ever reaches us.
By using the apps you confirm that you own the material you process or otherwise have the right to do what you are doing with it. You will not use them to infringe copyright, to circumvent a technical protection measure, or in breach of any law that applies to you.
You also agree not to interfere with the apps or the systems they reach, to attempt unauthorised access, or to use automated means to abuse a free allowance or the advertising shown in a free version.
05 Purchases, subscriptions and refunds
Optional paid features are sold as Apple In-App Purchases. Apple takes the payment and is the merchant of record; the price shown in the app for your region is the price that applies.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same price until you cancel it, at least 24 hours before the current period ends, in your Apple Account settings.
- A one-time unlock renews nothing and expires never.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves — but if something in an app misled you, tell us, because that is a fault we want to fix.
06 Advertising in free versions
A free version may carry advertising, supplied by Google AdMob and its mediation partners. We do not control which specific ads are served and we do not endorse them; a complaint about an ad’s content is best sent to us at [email protected] with a screenshot, so we can report it upstream. What each partner receives, and how to limit it, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
07 Apple’s position
Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for our apps or their content. The following applies to any app obtained from the App Store:
- This agreement is between you and us alone.
- Maintenance and support are ours, not Apple’s.
- If an app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim that an app or your use of it infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
08 Copyright complaints
If you believe material you hold rights in has been misused in connection with the Services, write to [email protected] with enough detail to identify the work, the use complained of, your contact details, and a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law. We act on notices we can verify.
09 Open-source components
Our apps include free software and we take its licences seriously. The media engine is built on FFmpeg under the LGPL v2.1 or later, together with components such as LAME, Opus and dav1d under their own free licences. No GPL-only component is included.
Each app carries its full notices on its own acknowledgements screen. As the LGPL requires, we will provide the corresponding source of the libraries we build — including any modifications we made — to anyone who asks at [email protected].
10 Availability and changes
We maintain what we ship, but we do not promise that a site or an app will be available without interruption, that every file will open, or that a feature will exist forever. Formats change, operating systems change, and occasionally something has to be retired. When that happens to a feature you paid for, it is stated in the release notes.
11 Disclaimer
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
One practical warning is worth more than the paragraph above it: keep a copy of anything you care about. Conversion and editing tools operate on real files, and a device can be lost, dropped or wiped regardless of whose software is on it.
12 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost profits or goodwill, or for lost or corrupted data arising out of your use of the Services — including data lost when an app is deleted, a device is reset, or a file is overwritten. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid, through Apple, for the app in question in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
13 Termination
You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. The sections that by their nature should survive termination — the licence restrictions, the disclaimers, the limitation of liability and the governing law — do so.
14 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Türkiye or another jurisdiction whose law grants you mandatory protections, nothing here deprives you of those protections or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
15 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Services change. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and material changes are surfaced inside the app. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept it.
